Coast Sushi Bar
#Bento trending. Thanks for joining me on my tasting journey! I continue my bento series with Coast Sushi Bar, a hip Japanese restaurant in Bucktown/Wicker Parker. Coast Sushi is one of three locations in the Chicagoland area, also serving sushi in South Loop and Evanston locations. Known for its ambience and great service, Coast captures the same dining experience for their take-out as well. You can expect quality food in pristine containers when you take Coast to go, creating your own sushi scene at home.
Ingredients matter. A great bento is about simplicity and quality ingredients. Coast dishes traditional flavors and high-quality creations. You can expect to find high caliber grilled meat, fresh fish, sticky rice, and warm miso. Importantly, the price is reasonable so you can eat well and stay on budget. Prep your chopsticks for my newest tasting gallery!
1. Salmon Teriyaki, $18.00
Teriyaki is all about sauce-consistency. A perfect teriyaki has a steady flow and proper body. Coast knows how to Teriyaki. Their sauce is a savory combination of sweet and salty. Add in grilled asparagus, plump salmon filets, and warm sticky rice, and you are sure to coast through dinner.
2. Chicken Teriyaki, $16.00
3. Seaweed Salad, $5.00
Seaweed and cucumber in sesame vinaigrette. Yes please! As my readers will know, I am passionate about my seaweed salad. Coast prepares this classic Japanese dish just as it should be made. Known as Wakame ワカメin Japan, Seaweed Salad is a nutritious treat for your belly and skin alike! Bonus: it tastes good and it makes you beautiful.
